
The Burlington Schools Foundation is a community-based, tax-exempt charitable organization. Its mission is to expand educational opportunities for Burlington, Vermont school children. The Burlington Schools Foundation administers grants, scholarships, and dedicated funds for creative and innovative school programs. Also supported by the Burlington Schools Foundation are community projects that educate children and other initiatives that provide unique opportunities for Burlington's children to learn and grow.
The Burlington Schools Foundation has funded:

School-wide literacy and reading projects.
- Arts and science events at the city’s two middle schools, Edmunds and Hunt.
- Provided transportation for senior citizens to attend Burlington High School drama and music productions.
- Mosaic Project: Middle school students, under the direction of art teacher Joy Kipp, are creating mosaic signs that will grace every school in the District and create a unifying theme for the city’s schools.
